Introduction
This image displays a collection of four different toy minifigure sets, each representing a distinct type of German soldier from World War II.
Top Left: Luftwaffe Fallschirmjäger
This figure represents a German Fallschirmjäger (paratrooper) of the Luftwaffe (Air Force). He is wearing a Luftwaffe Splinter Pattern (Splittermuster B) camouflage smock and a paratrooper helmet (M38) with a matching cover. He is armed with the elite and revolutionary FG 42 (Fallschirmjägergewehr 42) automatic rifle, which was exclusively issued to these airborne troops. An alternate M43 field cap is also included. These “Green Devils” were famous for their elite status and tenacity in battles like Crete and Monte Cassino.
Top Right: Soldier in Leibermuster Camouflage
This figure is a German soldier in Leibermuster M45 camouflage. He wears a full combat uniform and helmet cover in this rare, advanced pattern. Leibermuster was a scientifically designed, multi-layered camouflage intended to be the new standard for all German forces in 1945, and it even had anti-infrared properties. Due to the end of the war, it saw very limited use. He is armed with a Karabiner 98k rifle and comes with an alternate M43 field cap.
Bottom Left: Luftwaffe Field Division Soldier
This figure represents a soldier from a Luftwaffe Field Division. He is dressed in the standard blue-grey (Luftwaffenblau) uniform of the German Air Force but is equipped for ground combat with infantry webbing. He is armed with a Gewehr 43 (G43) semi-automatic rifle and comes with an alternate Stahlhelm featuring the Luftwaffe eagle decal. These divisions were formed in late 1942 from surplus air force personnel to fight as infantry on the Eastern Front.
Bottom Right: SS Honor Guard
This figure is a member of the Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler (LSSAH) in his formal honor guard uniform. He wears the iconic black M32 service uniform of the SS, complete with the Nazi Party armband, a white leather belt, and a ceremonial aiguillette. The set includes a black Stahlhelm (as worn), an SS officer’s visor cap, a Karabiner 98k rifle, and a tile representing the SS Long Service Award. The LSSAH served as Hitler’s personal bodyguard and a premier ceremonial unit.
