Introduction
This image shows a collection of seven different custom building block minifigures, all representing British volunteer soldiers who served with the German military during World War II in the unit known as the British Free Corps (Britisches Freikorps). Each figure wears the standard field grey (feldgrau) uniform but is distinguished by different equipment and facial expressions.
The top row consists of four figures. From left to right, the first is an assault trooper with a tan chest rig. The second is a rifleman with a tan bandolier for extra ammunition. The third is a fully equipped infantryman with black leather Y-straps and pouches. The fourth is also an infantryman, but with distinct tan-colored webbing.
The bottom row consists of three figures. The first on the left is another assault trooper with a tan chest rig and a shouting expression. The middle figure is a rifleman or machine gunner assistant with a tan bandolier. The last figure is a well-equipped infantryman with the unit’s three lions collar insignia and full black leather gear. In general, this collection represents a squad of frontline infantry soldiers, with roles ranging from standard rifleman to more specialized assault troopers.
