The item is a German M43 Field Cap (Einheitsfeldmütze) accessory, which is designed for minifigures. This is a custom toy accessory modeled after the standard field cap used by the German Army (Wehrmacht) in the latter half of World War II. It features a green camouflage pattern (resembling the “Splinter” or generic woodland camo) with shades of green, brown, and black. Unlike the previous autumn version, this cap is printed with the Wehrmacht Eagle (Reichsadler) insignia situated above a national cockade (roundel) on the front, along with two silver button details.

Background: The M43 Field Cap was introduced in 1943 to replace earlier side caps (Schiffchen). It was based on the mountain troops’ cap (Bergmütze) and featured a visor and fold-down ear flaps (secured by the two buttons) to protect against cold weather. It became the most ubiquitous piece of headgear for German infantry across all fronts until the end of the war. The eagle and cockade insignia layout on the front is the standard configuration for the regular German Army (Heer).
