This is a custom-made accessory for a toy diorama, designed to represent a German military road signpost from the Battle of the Bulge (also known as the Ardennes Offensive), which took place in the winter of 1944-1945.

The signpost is a collection of various German military signs providing warnings, orders, and directions to logistical locations, which would have been vital for supporting the massive German offensive. The signs are all in German.

The individual signs from top to bottom are:

• “Achtung! Reichsgrenze 1 m”: A warning sign that reads “Attention! Reich Border 1 m.” This is historically fitting as the Ardennes Offensive was launched from the German border into Belgium and Luxembourg.
• “Langsam fahren!”: A traffic command sign that means “Drive Slowly!”
• “H.M.L.”: A military abbreviation likely pointing to a logistical site such as a Hauptmunitionslager (Main Ammunition Depot).
• “OT 9”: An abbreviation pointing to a unit or site of the Organisation Todt, the massive civil and military engineering group of the Third Reich, which was heavily involved in construction in support of the army.
