Variations
Introduction
This image displays two toy minifigures that both represent the same historical person, as indicated by the main title “SA Leader Ernst Röhm”. Ernst Röhm was the commander of the SA (Sturmabteilung), the Nazi Party’s original paramilitary force, famously known as the Brownshirts. The figures show two minor variations of his uniform.
Both figures are wearing the signature brown SA service tunic (“Brownshirt”) and matching brown trousers. They share the same core insignia and equipment:
On the left sleeve of both figures is the red Nazi Party armband with a white circle and a black swastika.
Both have red collar tabs and a braided shoulder board printed on the tunic, representing the highest rank of Stabschef (Chief of Staff), which was Röhm’s title.
Each figure is equipped with a Sam Browne belt, consisting of a brown waist belt and a black cross-body strap.
Both figures use the same head piece, featuring black hair and a prominent mustache to resemble Ernst Röhm.
The only difference between the two figures is what is worn under the tunic:
The figure on the left (HTL028) is wearing a simple brown shirt, representing a standard service dress.
The figure on the right (HTL027) is wearing a white shirt and a black tie, representing a more formal style of dress. The label “Rome Service Uniform” for this figure appears to be a mistake by the manufacturer.
