This image shows a custom building block minifigure representing a German “Doomsday Camouflage” Soldier from World War II. The Chinese text in the file name, “末日迷彩士兵,” translates to “Doomsday Camouflage Soldier.” This refers to the advanced, experimental Leibermuster camouflage, which was developed at the very end of the war in 1945 and saw very limited issue.
The character is wearing a full combat uniform, including a smock, trousers, and helmet cover, all printed in the complex Leibermuster pattern. This pattern was unique for its irregular shapes, carbon black printing intended to defeat infrared detection, and was designed to be effective in multiple environments. The printing on the torso shows a Y-strap harness and ammunition pouches. The inset image shows the same figure wearing alternative headwear, a grey M43 field cap (Einheitsfeldmütze). He is armed with a detailed replica of the Karabiner 98k (Kar98k), the standard-issue German bolt-action rifle.
