This image shows a custom building block minifigure depicting a German machine gunner from World War II. The soldier is outfitted in a specific late-war uniform and carries a powerful support weapon.
The character’s uniform and helmet are covered in Sumpfmuster 43/44 camouflage, also known as the Marsh or “Tan/Water” Pattern. This design features soft-edged, blurred patches of green and brown on a tan base, with the characteristic vertical “rain” dashes printed over the entire pattern. The detailed printing on the torso, which is also visible in the inset photo, shows the soldier’s equipment, including black leather Y-straps and a belt with ammunition pouches for the machine gun.
The weapon the soldier is holding is a detailed replica of the iconic German MG 42 general-purpose machine gun. The miniature accurately captures the distinctive features of the real weapon, including its barrel shroud, the bipod at the front which is folded down for support, and what represents the ammunition drum or belt feed mechanism on the side. The MG 42 was famous for its extremely high rate of fire and was used extensively by German infantry. The vertical line on the right of the image indicates the figure’s height is 4cm.
